How can we help?

Answers to common questions about pressure readings, logging and calibration.

Why does the app differ from a weather service?

Your phone measures local atmospheric pressure at its current height. Weather services often report sea-level-adjusted pressure across a wider area, so the numbers may not match exactly.

How does calibration work?

Calibration applies an offset to the raw device reading so it can match a trusted barometer or weather station. Recalibrate after a significant change in altitude or when your reference changes.

Why are some readings marked as lower quality?

Walking, driving, climbing stairs, changing height, logging gaps or abrupt jumps can affect a phone barometer. The readings remain in the log, but trend analysis treats them with more caution.

Why are there gaps in background logging?

Background refresh is best-effort. iOS and iPadOS decide when the app can run based on battery, usage and system conditions, so background readings may be less frequent than the selected foreground interval.

What does chart smoothing change?

The chart groups readings into five-minute trend points to show the overall movement more clearly. Your exact saved readings remain available in the log and exports.

How do I export or delete readings?

Use Export to create a CSV or PDF for a selected time range. In the log, swipe left on an individual row to delete it. Clearing saved readings is available in Settings.
