Overview
Atmospheric Pressure is designed to work primarily on your device. The app does not require an account and does not sell your personal information.
Data the app uses
The app may use the device barometer, motion state and location or altitude information when you choose features that need them. These inputs support pressure readings, data-quality checks and altitude-assisted calibration.
Storage
Pressure readings, app settings, calibration details and related quality information are stored locally on your device. This data is used to provide logs, charts, trends, widgets, diagnostics and exports.
Sharing and exports
The app does not automatically transmit your pressure history to the developer. CSV and PDF files are shared or saved only when you initiate an export and choose a destination through the system share sheet.
Permissions
Notifications are optional and are used for pressure or trend alerts you enable. Location access is optional and is used for altitude-assisted calibration. Motion information may be used to identify readings that could be affected by movement. You can manage permissions in iOS or iPadOS Settings.
Background activity
If enabled, the app asks iOS or iPadOS for opportunities to refresh pressure information in the background. The operating system decides when those opportunities are available.
Deleting data
You can delete individual readings from the log or clear saved readings from within the app. Removing the app also removes data held in its local app storage, subject to the device’s normal backup and restore behaviour.
Children’s privacy
The app is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the app changes. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the current version.
